Looking down upon the sparkling crystal blue waters of Honomanu Bay, you’ll also see a beautiful little gray sand beach. This remote bay located about 17 miles from the town of Paia has a stream emptying into it. It can appear to be peaceful and still but certain times of the year the waves can be hazardous when coming straight into the beach.

It is quite common to see dolphins in Honomanu Bay although swimming is not advised because rough surf. During winter months, the beach becomes rocky but it’s quite common to see surfers. The sand returns to the beach during the summer.
