Hana Bay Beach Park, located in the heart of Hana Town, has a beautiful black sand beach. A favorite picnic spot for families and visitors alike, the bay is protected making it ideal for swimming. Many afternoons you can see many outrigger canoes in the Bay practicing the ancient Hawaiian sport.

The black sand beach is the result of eroded lava which has washed into the ocean from streams nearby.
