Seven miles south of Hana you cross over the Wailua Bridge. The beautiful Wailua Falls can be seen from the roadway cascading some 200 feet down a sharp cliff into the lush vegetation below into the Honolewa Stream which runs underneath the roadway at the Wailua Bridge. Standing on the bridge, you can feel the mist from the falls, which is often so heavy, it makes it difficult to take a picture.

As with all waterfalls in Hawaii, the flow of the water depends on recent rainfall, but Wailua Falls generally flows throughout the year.
